We are holding open days in February for you to come and try bowls. There will be a free sausage sizzle, bring the kids. It’s one of the few games that the whole family can play at both a social and competitive level and a great way to meet new friends in your neighbourhood.

Free coaching and bowls provided.

Come down to your local club – you’ll be amazed.

Australia Day 26th January
Our Australia Day social bowls is a great way to spend the afternoon with
friends. Have a game of bowls, a few drinks and a meal all for $25 per person.

Burns Night 28th January
Another great night will be the Burns Night – A Traditional Robbie Burns Supper
and Whisky Tasting. A Poetic Celebration of Scotland.
Saturday 28th January, $35 per head.
Includes a 3 course dinner, whisky tasting, traditional speeches, toasts, music,
live singing and much more…
arrive before 6.45pm for 7pm Piping in of the Haggis.

Ladies Social Bowls
There is a new ladies social bowls competition for busy mums/working
professionals who would like to learn how to play. Come along meet new
friends or bring a friend with you it’s only for 2 hours on a Saturday morning
arrive at 9.30am for 10am start. $5 for members, $10 non-members.

2011 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
AGM will be held On Sunday 16th October from 10am at the club, so come
down and vote and meet some new friends. For more deatils and to download

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CLUB:
Come along and use the facilities. Bring the kids down – we have a soft play
area and they can even try out bowls. We have little sets for little hands!! Our
BBQ and deck areas are fantastic to just relax and have a drink or maybe even
a family party or corporate function.

CLUB RESTAURANT UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT:
The Kookaburra Bistro and Bar, has a new chef with all profits going back to
the club and supporting your community. Jack Lewis (chef) with Sean and Doug
are all locals. Jacks’ experience in fine dining includes establishments including
Finefish at Neutral Bay and Sails at Lavender Bay.

Emphasis is on fresh seasonal produce with a new menu and specials including
a great $8.00 kid’s menu. The Restaurant is open Friday and Saturday nights,
6pm – 9pm for bookings either call the club 9498 3135 or write your name on
booking form at the bar.

The Bar has a great new bar snack menu on Friday and Saturday nights, Try
Jacks’ famous Lamb Shank Pie & a schooner of (tap) beer for only $8.

OTHER CLUB EVENTS:

Also on Sunday 16th October, come down to the club and watch the Netball at
2pm or the Rugby at 6.30pm; have a drink and enjoy the Sausage Sizzle.

During Daylight Saving we have Barefoot Bowling. Our social bowls comp held
every second Friday from 6pm, ideal for beginners, anyone can win! Bring along
some friends for and a fun-filled Friday night or come along and join a group.
